Foosball

Ok, so there's this table soccer game called foosball that I really like to play sometimes, and I used to be pretty good at it. Just thinking back, I remember how intense I used to concentrate on the game and how quick my reflexes were with that kind of concentration. Well, after winning most of the times when I would play, I slowly started shifting towards a more relaxed style of playing. I was just playing the game, and when I started to just play the game, I started to lose it. I started allowing more goals to be scored against me, and didn't score quite as often. Well, earlier tonight I was playing one of my best friends, and he was kicking my butt. The score was like 4 to 9, and it all of a sudden hit me that I wasn't concentrating as hard as I used to. So, I completely changed my mind set and focused really really hard, like I used to do. When I did that, the game took a complete turn. I started scoring and then all of a sudden the score was 9 to 9. It was tied up, and it was game point. Well, I didn't become relaxed again. Instead I kept the concentration and ended up scoring the winning point.

Ok, the reason I told that story was not to show how awesome I am at foosball. Actually the truth is, my friend is probably beating me in wins if you add up all the games we've played each other. But what I really want to say is: if you go towards your goals in a relaxed manner, you may reach them or you may not. But, if you concentrate with everything you have, you can achieve way more than you ever thought you could. So when God reveals to you the purpose for your life, go at it with everything you have, with complete concentration. You'll be amazed at what he can do through you when you give him everything you've got.
